Knowledge is Our Greatest Resource Conversation

Knowledge is our greatest resource

Because knowledge is our greatest resource it is essential that we cooperate and collaborate around how we use our learning resources to increase our knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of our world. There is no room for competition now. Competition that is protective, secretive, closed. Collaboration is a contributive process. Competition in what we are contributing and can contribute to the common and creative interests of a community of creative enterprise

Like every resource, knowledge has no value until it is discovered, its value never gets realized until it is used, and its value is increased with the knowledge contributed by others.

Knowledge is our greatest resource. This is not a new idea. We don’t need new ideas so much as we need to take old ideas and explore how we can increase their contribution and value. Look to our past to find our way in the future. That is where the opportunity for learning lies, – in literature, in history, in the arts, in philosophy, in religion, in political systems, in economics, in science. That is where our knowledge lies, – and in the ideas that come from sharing that knowledge and new knowledge we acquire every day. The joy and the rewards are in sharing, in working together to develop this resource, to use it, and to find new ways to use it to make it even more valuable. Knowledge is our greatest resource. Take these five words and appropriate them.

Knowledge is our greatest resource. Dialogue, in collaboration, is one of the most effective ways to create and share knowledge. Dialogue is collaboration. Which is one of the reasons we need to have our best creators and contributors of knowledge, – all attuned to society’s dreams, – in the conversation about how we use our resources to increase our knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of our world to creating a better future for our ourselves, our community. And our world.

Our best way to contribute is to provide vehicles and forums for people to contribute, – to make contributions possible, – to make dialogue possible. A facility and a resource to be shared with other enterprises in the business of creating and sharing knowledge, – educational institutions that have knowledge to contribute and share, – our much needed and commercially driven knowledge enterprises, – companies in our knowledge industry, – and our social enterprises where our future lies. Enterprises that are coming together and learning that the bottom line of social entrepreneurship is new knowledge and understanding for humanity about humanity so we can improve the quality of our lives and the quality of life for everyone on this planet.

Sharing of knowledge requires communication. One of our focuses and priorities is finding ways to communicate more and communicate more effectively to people who want to know and people who need to know.

We need to find new and more innovative ways of creating and sharing knowledge, to find more ways to collaborate with others in creating and sharing knowledge.

Knowledge is our greatest resource. It needs to be shared. Because when it is shared new ideas are generated, new solutions are found, and new knowledge is created.

Knowledge is our greatest resource. It needs to be shared. It needs to be given. It needs to be made available to everyone. But it is only with knowledge that we can hope to improve the quality of our lives and the quality of life for others. And it is only with knowledge that we can hope to improve our ability to provide a safe place to live and ensure our survival for the future.

We need to learn how to deal with change. We need to learn how to understand and develop relationships. We need to learn how to learn. We need to learn how to change. We need to learn how to change things.

We are going to create a learning marketplace which provides anyone who has the ability to communicate through any means, electronically, by voice, by fax, by mail, the opportunity to contribute, and everyone has the opportunity to access the knowledge contributed. We are going to create a model for others to learn from and replicate which generates revenue to support the operation of the marketplace, and which rewards the contribution of intellectual capital made by others.

Knowledge is our greatest resource. It needs to be shared. We, who are in the business of creating and sharing knowledge, need to find new ways of cooperating and collaborating with one another, – not only to share our knowledge with one another and learn how to become better at what we do, – but also to learn how to do this without wasting any of our resources competing with one another when, by working together, we can all make a greater contribution to the communities we serve.

When Gutenberg invented the printing press, he revolutionized our ability to share information and knowledge. Imagine today, one small computer in a village in the deserts of Africa, or a school in Bolivia, powered by a solar battery and linked to the internet through a satellite, giving everyone in that village or that school access to the world’s knowledge, With a little cooperation that is possible, – not tomorrow, – but today.

We have the technological capability. Now we need the content. The knowledge and understanding that will assist us in learning how to live with one another, how to make life better for more people, and how to live in this world without destroying it for future generations. Science has given us the capabilities. The humanities, with our help, we hope will bring us the understanding and the know-how.

It is to bring more joy into life that we work to understand, to share, to be concerned. It is through the arts that we learn how to create, how to appreciate, how to bring joy into our life and the lives of others. It is through the arts that we find understanding and compassion. And it is through the arts that we learn how to connect with others and to the world we live in, – and through that connection, find ways to work together, collaboratively, and cooperatively to make a better world for us all. It is through the arts that we discover ourselves. The most valuable knowledge and the most valuable resource we have.

Knowledge is our greatest resource. It is our greatest resource as a society. And it is the only resource that each of us, individually and collectively, can rely upon. It is our most renewable, most sustainable, and most valuable resource. It is never depleted, and when we contribute our knowledge to others, we add to our store, and increase the value of our resource even more.
