I am sitting in the sun. I have just registered www.creativecanada2017.com. We celebrated our 100th anniversary as a country by inviting the world to a world exposition of the contributions of 62 countries from around the globe. We could celebrate our 150th anniversary by inviting the world to a global experience of a cultural history and the creative evolution of a country of communities without borders and the imagination of the possibilities of a creative world.
What are we appreciative for? What stories do we want to tell? What stories do we want to create? What is the story, – an appreciation for our cultural diversity, – the demonstration that creative communities create caring communities, – the understanding that we create communities without borders through our arts and our creative contributions to how we see, think, and fell about our world and how we imagine our world could be.
And we can do that for a fraction of the cost of our 100th anniversary celebration and make a far greater contribution of how we can see, explore, and create community and excite creative community enterprise around our common human interests, – interests we have in common as individuals, – interests we have in common as communities, – and interest we have as a community, – creating a future for our world. A sustainable enterprise is a creative enterprise. A sustainable community is a creative community. Sustainable communities create a sustainable world.
A sustainable world is a creative world
